Carputer equates to $$$$$$ New MB/Cpu

Now that I cannot figure out my random freeze problem (it's not a heat issue), I've decided to rebuild the pc. I suspect something wrong with MB/Memory (I tried different memory however)

It seems that Epia M10000 is the best option to go with.
    1) Can anyone confirm their performance on M10000 with Opus 150W.
    2) Which case are you guys using with M10000 and 150W. I want to do this right the second time
    3) Is there any heat issues...it gets to 95 degrees sometimes.

Lastly, where is the cheapest place to buy this? I suppose I'll need ddr ram as well since I only have sdram. Any cheap place to acquire this?

Anything else that may be helpful please share...Thanks people, I really appreciate the help.

Thanks...I've found many sources for these products. Question i'll like to be answered:

    1) Anyone has heat issues with these?
    2) Any case that takes m10000 and Opus 150w in the most compact fashion.

And lastly, for all m10000 owners, is the firewire IEEE port 6 pin or 4 pin???
    Thanks

    I got my parts at....

    http://www.logic supply.com

Edit: Remove the space from this name... for some reason the board won't let me post that URL without sticking a space in the middle? Censored?

(No affiliation). I got a TC10000 from them, and they even called to check on the memory type I was ordering since it wouldn't work with the board, saving me time and a return. They have a pretty good case selection too.

I got my m10000 + 150 opus + 80GB WD HD all in the Glovebox compartment of my little RAV4 with no ventalation what so ever with NYC weathers and it's running quite fine.

    Does that answer your question?

I Just order the Insight P4 mini-itx board and will be replacing this setup with this new board. Haven't decided on the CPU yet. But I'm not planning to change about ventalation.

I will have to purchase a low profile heatsink/fan though. Those P4 H/S is HUGE!!! Don't think it would fit in my glovebox along with everything else.

To solve issues with heat a little bit of working with insulation around whever you install it is a good idea (if you're using fans you'll want the ability to drive out heat as well)...also there is a case which the name escapes me, omni something i believe, which integrates a fanless enviorment using a large heatsink which would be very good for long life of parts not designed for automotive applications. Especially with the aforementioned insulation. the M10000 is specificly designed for low power and low heat, you don't need a 150 watt opus powersupply to run it which would also cut down on your heat and give you a larger variety of cases to use .

The Travla c134 is 1 din mountable if you'd like to put it somewhere other than a glove box, however there are some special hardware requirements (it's what i'm building with).

    www.mini-atx.com is a good resource.
