yeah I'd like to know this one for my M1000
I'm still building my carputer and I've got my MII-10K mounted where I want. The enclosure is a little restrictive right now and airflow could be a bit better. Today I had the computer running for about 30 minutes and I decided to jump to the bios to check out the CPU temp. It read 60C! That is what I would normally call a touch on the very hot side, but then again every manufacturer has different heat tolerances.
What's the max CPU temp for the C3?

Buried on VIA's site is a PDF about the C3 Nehemiah core processor's specifications. Here's the link: http://www.via.com.tw/en/Products/C3...3_Nehemiah.zip On page 69 of the PDF section 6-1 there's thermal characteristics. It says between 0 degrees celsius (32 degrees F) and 70 degrees C (70*(9/5)+32 = 158 degrees F) is it's operating range (noting 85 degrees C for the EBGA version). There's really not too much else in that section but this manual is quite useful and full of specific information on the processor!take a look!
I think the max temp for the Nehemiah core is 85ºC . Can't remember where I read that though.....
EDIT: Ooops *alias beat me....![]()
Well at least I served to refresh your memory as to the source of the data.
