    Where to find lilliput IR receiver...mines dead

    Sorry, but I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere.

    I accidentally broke a pin off my IR receiver on my lilliput after gluing it in my dash and needing to remove it. I went to radioshack and they don't have the one I need. This one for the lilliput has 3 pins, and I'm not quite sure why either, and I'm sure it needs to be in a certain frequency range to work.

    Does anyone care to elaborate why it needs all 3 pins? And also what frequency range I need? Or maybe even a link to one that will work? Thanks!

    Also if anyone has a button board to salvage I guess I could just snag that...

    There was a thread around here where someone claimed they found a working replacement at radio shack. It might have been this one.

    IIRC, the 3 pins are GND, VCC, and Signal.

    ps...went to radioshack a week ago and couldnt find the right one, i just called and they said they have 3 of them (i gave them the part number), so i'll be going back to radioshack today i suppose ^_^
    CarPC install is starting to come along again...
