    OPUS 150w Powersupply unit question.

Okay, I got my comptuer setup up and everything, I need to get my power supply set up. Once I plug everything required from my power supply to my computer mother board, where in the car do I put the other end of the power supply to?
    Thanks. Okay. Bye.

The car battery... use a fuse!

I don't know if the opus has a separate connection to the ignition for shutdown/startup, but that should all be in the manual, no?

The car battery itself? You mean I actually have to pop my hood up and wire my power supply to the car battery itself?
    Thanks. Okay. Bye.

I've not sen an opus yet but I guess there's an ignition live, permanent live and ground.

Ignition could be taken from the car stereo loom.

Permanent - straight to the battery with a fuse near the battery end (prob within 30cm).

    Check the manual for opus!

You wire it to the battery direct with a cable suitable for the power you will draw (this is described in the manual). You only need to wire the red cable to the positive side of the battery via a fuse. The ground cable connects to the car chasis again with a thick cable. The remaining wire connects to the car accessory cable (I took my feed from the head unit), this is the cable which is supplied with 12v only when the ignition is on. The accessory cable is used to tell the Opus when to power off, send to standby/hibernation and power up the computer.

For best practice, yes. What is the problem ? You don't think twice about
shoving a computer in your car but you're worried about running a power
    wire to the battery ?

Don't worry about Frodo. He doesn't even have a PC in his car.

Then you could use an inverter, instead of wiring it to your battery!!
