Any problem mounting an inverter in the PC case?
I am about to mount a 300W Tripplite in the same box as the MB and everything else. Does anyone know if this will cause any trouble (interference)? Thanks.

Hey its good to see another person frome Maine on the board. As for mounting the inverter inside the case, I dont think that it will be too much of a problem. just make sure that you ground everything well and that should take care of any interference problems.
Just wondering where in Maine are you located? mabey we could get a northeast meet going.

UPDATE: I moved farther north. Now its even too cold for the deer; only moose now
my only consern would be with noise caused by the invertor.

I don't think the noise would be a problem in this case the only thing that comes to mind with putting the invertor in the case is all that extra heat will be in the case as well and we all know that heat and computers don't mix that well.

The inverter will be sharing power and ground with my amp, and there will be at least one fan in the case, possibly two.
Hey Monger, yep I'm here in Portland. I'm from away though, will be going back to Oregon in a few months. Same trees, same deer, but the rain doesn't freeze. I got a couple of other guys here that I told about the board, they may show up too...
A northeast meet would be good, I should have my system done in a few weeks, once I stop re-re-designing it.

yeah, I'm in Castine. about 2 hours north of Portland on RT.1. We'll have to see if we can get a couple more people together on this and it'll be on....
