    Need help picking carputer parts......

I'm building a carputer for my vehicle and need a little helping picking out some parts. i'm trying not to go broke on this project so if you guys could please help me out..........I'm gonna try and purchase everything from Newegg.com that way i can buy everything at once.

    here's a partial list

    hd maxtor 40 gig 7200 rpm $45
    processor Amd ??
    mobo Asus a7v8-mx se $56
    Vid card Radeon 9600?

i have a power supply, inverter, cd burner already. I guess what i need help with is picking out an affordable/good video card and a processor.......Thanks!!!!!!

try ebuyer.com they are sometimes cheaper in the uk ( not sure about US, which is why i presume u are in $$s)
if it isnt doing much hard work i recomend the duron processor ( much cheaper and just as good for basic stuff) else get a cheap athlon
    amd k6-2 450
    64 meg ram
    5 gig hdd
all in an old bit of metal
    all for under 20

    and now a 500watt inverter for 20
    thats 40 in total
not too bad for a noob

Ahh.. I'm in Doncaster. Yeah I love mini's - I wouldn't mind having one as a pet project and just going crazy with the gizmo's!

Id dump the amd board and go with a intel ,runs cooler and faster. Trust me cause Im a AMD man .I run a opteron fx at home but the car is better intel! and go with a ati 9000 or 9200 thay use less voltage and the graphics are nice for a low level card.

www.pricewatch.com is our friend. NewEgg lists some stuff on there.

Any Socket A AMD processor from: my old 1400+ to my new 2800+ would work.

It really depends on what you want to do. Some of these guys are running 600mhz systems... in which case, I have some old Slot A mobo and processor combos (550mhz)

    NewEgg is selling a ATI RADEON 9600 SE 128MB DDR, 64-Bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP for TotalCost $67.00 through pricewatch.com
