Are you talking about the weather/traffic channels in the 200 range?

Mine works fine with the optical out.

Could everybody tell me what soundcard their using with their digital optical out XMPCR?

i just got mine all setup and although I can see the sound card is sampling data from the optical input, I can't get any music out. I've called the tech support guys at terratec and the company that sold me the card but nobody's home. The card advertises record and playback from all sources including digital so, somethings broke or I'm doing something wrong.

    We'll see.

I just read that the audigy outputs 2 volts. The AC97 on my onboard sound puts out 3.3 or 5 volts. It's really loud but not clear. Does your Audigy get loud? Do you have line drivers or an eq inline in your system?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hi Folks,
I finished the optical upgrade to my XM PCR and you guys were right. The noise levels are waaay down and I think the music is crisper also. I wish I had more output from my soundcard (terratec six pack) but truthfully it really is loud enough. Thanks for the help and opinions.
