    Backup Camera Screenshots, please.

Can anyone post some screenshots of their backup camera in-use. I've seen the pictures on DigitalWW, but they really don't indicate what it's like in use as a backup aid.

Seems like lots of people here use them, but I haven't seen any shots yet.

I'm thinking of getting the new addition to DigitalWW, the BC-150R , but it seems pretty pricey. Do you guys think it's worth it? I think I've seen it a few times before called the keyhole cam.

    Thanks. Cheers.

Actually this one has better specs. for example: Min .5 LUX unstead of 1.0 LUX

    Ebay wide anle keyhole camera
Looks like the gotcha is that they're selling two types that look exactly alike but have different specs.

    That's a good point. I missed that.

I was also checking out the TopSpin Realcam that TimmyM mentioned here in another post. Looks extra cool, but real expensive. Pretty sure I don't want to spend that much, but maybe a used one cheap would be a good solution.

The same ebay seller has a cheaper variant of the same camera. The main difference is the viewing angle. The more expensive $160+ model has a 105 degree viewing angle while the less expensive model (~$99) has a 90 degree viewing angle. Is it really worth the extra $70 for 15 degrees of more viewing ability?

    Just my $.02

What you need is ~150 degree.. 90 might give you false sense of security while you back into a fire hydrant

well what do you know... http://digitalww.com/BC150R.htm

i got a full color camera but it is 90 degree and sadly i thought my monitor could flip the image. but it cant. the picture is phenominal and i use it more as an aid in compliment with shoulder checking, i do plan to get a new one with all the better features. DEFINATELY worth it though

D-Rob - can you please post a screenshot or a picture of your setup? I would really like to see what the camera looks like. Thanks!

    Check out www.supercircuits.com for cameras.

They have dual-mode and over 0.001 lux cameras.
You can usualy worry about flipping the video picture in software. (If your capture driver supports it)

    back-up camera

i replaced my rear bumper with a roll-pan i drilled a little hole and fed the camera through with the provided ring nut it's tiny and black like my truck and then power comes from the rear intiorior convenience power socket and the video runs all the way to my head unit. perfect picture though.
