I assume it will drive 5K input impedances and higher. Industry standard kinda used to be 10k though. YMMV
Anyone know? Iw ant to link a sub to the sub output of the card

erm what's the in ohms?

5k = 5000 ohms. 10k = 10000 ohms.

Sorry to highjack... though maybe im not,
Can you plug an audigy 2 straight into an amps RCA inputs, so long as it will take 2V input (most do and more)? May rockford amp saids 'Input impedance 20k ohms'
cheers

Arr seems you can and its all down to voltage drop.... or lack of it :-
see thread on deja about Y splitters
Depending on the head unit output impedance and the amplifier
input impedance, the voltage drop can be almost insignificant!
Suppose you have a h.u. with an ouput impedance of 100ohms
(which would be good) and an amp input impedance of 20k ohms
which would be high, but very good (our amps are 20k ohms) and
you are planning on using a h.u. with a 4 volt preout. The for-
mula is as follows: v2=v1(r2/r1+r2). Math proves that if you
use only one amp, that you'll yield a 3.98 volt input at the amp.
If you use two amps, each amp will receive a 3.96 volt input. I
personally don't think I know anyone who could notice the differ-
ence. There are other tiny variables, but none worth worrying
about.
I hope this help a little bit.
