Another CD Changer FM Modulator Question!
Sorry for posting yet another question about using an FM modulator from an aftermarket cd changer, but I have a question. I have a radioshack FM modulator that came from a radioshack cd changer. As I was going to attempt to figure out the pinouts, I thought of something. When I used the cd changer I had to press the on button on the commander or remote control thing, and then there would be a clicking noise comming from the fm modulator itself. Now if I figure out the pinouts for the audio in, how am I going to get the unit to turn on? The commander controller is a separate cable that plugs into the modulator. Should I just go out and buy one or try to hack this one? I dont want to have to use the original commander to turn it on and off.

anyone? I know there were a few guys that were hacking their modulators. Did yours have a on off button on the controller??

i dont know about the RadioShack ones, but i have an Alpine RF modulator that i dont really need anymore, but is still installed, i would like to hack it, ive been told its impossible, and i dont know how, so those are my major obstacles. i would love to help, but i dont really know what im doing, i have tools and no job(time to kill).

I hacked it the other day and I could not get it to work. I tried every wire every way and nothing worked. Oh well. I found a FM modulator at partsexpress for $38. It would be easier to just buy it.
