best way to use 2 screens?

Ok, so I want to use 2 screens since I already have one screen and will be purchasing a xenarc.
Question #1--Do I really have to get a video card that has 2 vga outputs? I want to use the xenarc for regular computer use and my other screen for dvd movies and things. Could I just get a vga splitter and use some software to control them? Forgot to mention that my original screen only has rca input for video.

Question #2--Not really related to 2 screens but figured I'd ask anyway. If I use the Opus 150 can I use a regular motherboard and processor? I'm going to be using an Athlon XP 2500+ Barton processor and an ECS Elitegroup K7VTA3 motherboard. If I can attach those things to the opus will there still be room left for the drives and gps and things?

    Thanks for your help!

#1 Yes you need 2 vga outputs, or an additional videocard.
If you just use a splitter you will have the same thing on both screens.
