Thread: mobo question...?

I'm having trouble figuring out what the best motherboard would be for my carputer. My carputer will function as a music player, video player, GPS, a few games (for when i'm drivng in heavy traffic, just kidding), so i would like to have a good graphics card and sound card. I will also have a 10 inch lcd touchscreen.

I want this as small as possible, but not so small that i'll be limited in what I can do. I would like to be upgradable. I've thought about a mini mobo, like MSI's Mega 865 home theater PC....which I own. But, I worry about heat issues; I live in Charlotte, NC. It can get to the upper 90's to lower 100's in summer, and get well below freezing in the winter.

Now another option would be using a single board embedded computer; That would be ideal for the size, because they can be anywhere from 2.5 in. to 6.5 in. My only problem is I don't know entirely how to accomplish that.

Can anyone tell me what the recomend? It can be either Windows or Linux, doesn't matter to me. I would love if someone could tell me how to use an embedded single board pc.
