don't know about your systems, but in many systems (especially mATX and ITX) expansion slots are at a premium... Some people would rather save the available slot.
can anyone explain the advantages to ATI doing this to their video card, or was it just to save space?
the 'cube' white connector, that extends into a vga port & rca
why not just have the card take up another pci slot, and mount the vga port and RCA there?

yeah i guess thats true, i was only thinking for full atx, and i suppose matx, and minis are used for media more often
They call the box that connects to that port a breakout box It has the ins/outs for rca and s-vid as well as VGA. This is to make it easier to connect and disconnect the other sources without having to crawl behind you puter. It's like this as it is primarily a video capture card.
very slick, alright that port happens to do more than i thought.. by anychance do you know if the all in wonder remote works without a radeon vid card?
eh i see that i did search though, and also found that it said; only works with ati graphics, may have been i different version, i have to go home, i'll brb and post that
