    aiw, vid card

can anyone explain the advantages to ATI doing this to their video card, or was it just to save space?

the 'cube' white connector, that extends into a vga port & rca
why not just have the card take up another pci slot, and mount the vga port and RCA there?

don't know about your systems, but in many systems (especially mATX and ITX) expansion slots are at a premium... Some people would rather save the available slot.
    mATX mobo
    2.4 GHz Celeron (prescott)
    512 MB RAM
    80 GB 3.5" HD
Runnin off an inverter (for now)
    7" Lilliput
    Microsoft (Pharos) USB GPS
Have yet to pull the trigger on a slim slot load DVD
    STATUS: who knows... I don't

They call the box that connects to that port a breakout box It has the ins/outs for rca and s-vid as well as VGA. This is to make it easier to connect and disconnect the other sources without having to crawl behind you puter. It's like this as it is primarily a video capture card.

First hit on found me ATI's FAQ for the AIW remote.

A2: The REMOTE WONDER™ offers mouse and application control for all PCs (with a free USB port) regardless of what graphics are on-board your desktop or notebook PC.

Some of the buttons on the remote, such as TV and DVD, are exclusively used on ATI graphics board products
Use the tools you've got, Little Billy.

I want to see if Zip-lock will change Roger Wilco's tag to 'Little Billy'.
You can't say it's not appropriate...
Maybe even change his avatar to the grey title 'Posting And You'.

    Damn that would be funny...
