    which switch to buy????

From hibernate mode i wanna wire a switch from my laptop to my car consul. What is the best type of switch to do this. There are momentary, flip, or push-on / push-off switches. Im thinking push-on/off type but not positive.

Also does anyone know where to get nice glowing, or backlight switches??

    Thanx a ton.

this also is for a laptop so there isnt a LED light to hook it to, so would i just use power, ground, and power again to light the ring of the button?

well what you would realy probably want would be a momentary switch that closes the circut when pused. in my opinion it would probably be much easier and safer for your board if you use one that wasn't lighted. there is always your local ratshack

yes, i would probably just wire this in parallel to your existing power switch ... which would probably be a pain in the *** because the contacts will probably be tiny.

that switch in the link that you provided is a momentary switch and yes wire it in parallel with your other switch. The LED can be wired to power and ground with no problem.

For the round LED rocker switches on that site... what kind of amperage can they handle? Could they be wired right up to a Xenarc, or would a relay be required? I'll assume they could handle the amperage for an amp remote wire.
