how to show car speed, rpm, etc. on lcd?

Can someone give me a detailed explanation on how to display my car's speed, rpm, temp, voltage, etc. on my lcd screen of my carputer? I guess similar to what Kraft did on his Porsche.

I do not want to misguide you, but from what I have gathered you have to interface the carputer with the OBDII or if you have a newer BMW, the Ibus. I have seen some other topics on this on the forum and on the net. Do a google search and you should be able to find both the software and the interface.

depends what you want to do exactly; here's a commercial product:

Try HKS Camp At www.hksusa.com // But this is a pc itself, just plugs in to your monitor with add ons. You can also check is AEM makes a stand alone Computer to replace your car pc, and you would be able to control it with carputer.
