    Post this might be a good buy for someone...

    Here is a link to a solo 2150 pentium 3 chasis only
    laptop chasis

    it has built in video and video out. Sound usb ect ect. It accpets the readily available upga2 processor which can be scored on ebay for cheap. A few examples of ended auctions:
    Pentium 3 450 - 30 buxs

    Pentium 3 500 - 25 buxs

    Pentium 3 700 - 68 dollars

    Pentium 3 850 for 100


    Anywyas, you could eaihter buy a tft for a solo 2150 on ebay, or use the video out and use a external tft...

    You would need a heatsink for this also, a hd caddy, and a keyboard.. But still all in all a cheap, very compact, feature rich motherboard.
    Shoot, I'd buy it if I didnt already have three laptops and have to save 4k to get my Falcon out of the shop! if anyone has questiosn as to how to build this thing up ect, email me. I have built two solo computers from parts purchased on eBay.

    warning: trying to build solo's from ebay parts can be habit forming and may drive you insane. (I build a 700mhz solo 1150, and am working on a second 1150 and a 2150 right now)

    It can be fun, but you need strange and obscure parts like special cdroms, hard drive caddys, heat sinks, etc...

    do a little research before jumping in, I wish I had.

    Yes, this is true, but.... the 2150 is a very easy to find solo for parts. The 1150 is not... I have built two solo 9300's....

    And another thing that is good about using a laptop is that when you turn offyour car, and the inverter gets sutdown for a second, the battery will click in and you want restart like on a desktop.
