Post my friend got hassled about his hardware

    my friends lapdance computer (http://lapdance.sourceforge.net/)
well the hard drives went, so he took it out, he never used a head unit for input, so the rest is self explanitory. but brings me to the question have you ever been hassled?

    SmackMyBishop (10:08:50 AM): cool
SmackMyBishop (10:09:08 AM): campus safety was grilling me about my setup last night
SmackMyBishop (10:10:04 AM): 8 cars in my lot have been broken into, and they followed me around and searched my car, and they were like "are these your amps? why aren't they bolted down? why don't you have a head unit?"
SmackMyBishop (10:10:17 AM): "what the hell's that keyboard doing there?"

thats crazy. why do they care anyways? i understand that they dont want his car to be broken into but im sure he doesnt either and he should take precautions. it looks like they might be jealous. what he should have done was asked if he could search through their cars. nosey security!!

For safety i have a duffle bag that i tote the box (4" tall x 9" wide x 9" deep). I also have an alarm and car audio insurance. Its cool because after i added the alarm and audio insurance i ended saving a few bucks because of the alarm.

The campus police are really breaking into the cars. They were just checking out the goods. LOL

    Cool

I get hassled everytime I want to cross a border, and whenever I'm stopped by the police. My favourite is when I drive through RIDE (spot checks for drunkeness). They always ask, in this order:

    What's that keypad for?
What's that behind the drivers seat?
    Is it dangerous?

They totally forget to ask me if I was drinking. I swear, one day I'm just going to leave a bunch of empty liquor bottles on the floor, act all drunk and see what happens.

I had a bunch of family flying in and out during Christmas. You should have seen how much grief I got from the rent-a-cops checking everyone going into the parking lot at the San Jose airport.

I've been pulled over while playing mp3s, and this is what the cop saw when he looked in the window:

I don't quite recall everything he said, but it was along the lines 'what is that for? what is that connected to? what does the red button do?'

Kind of funny, but at the same time you can understand his concern when I was driving around with something like that not 100 feet from Beaver Stadium
