    SMALL enclosures

    Hello all,
I am looking for an alternative to the Casetronic C-134 and C-150 cases, but something small that will support a VIA mini-ITX motherboard. Specifically, I am looking for something smaller than 2" tall (it needs to fit under the passenger seat), but the length and width is not as important as long as it is less than 12" x 12". I'd like to have something just tall enough so as to get away from using 0.8" tall memory, if possible. I've looked at the Casetronic and Morex cases, but does anyone know of anything else. Please help me out! thanks...

Same situation here really - although with an imminent change of car I hope it will fit in the new vehicle!
    I need a case - any ideas?
I may end up making my own.... but need the car to custom-fit it first

You could just get an aluminium box like one of these:

And drill it for all the ports you need. That's how I made mine (I got the PC25 and cut it down to 8" long).
Old Systems retired due to new car
New system at design/prototype stage on BeagleBoard.

eek, that seems like more than I want to get into. I would really like to find something already made for the VIA mainboards. OR, a place where I can buy the Casetronic case by itself for a decent price (the few places I have found sell it with a motherboard and HD required).

I have full cnc capabilities and can make any size cases, the problem is that I'm using an e-pc case so no need for custom one and don't have a via motherboard to measure and configure, so if someone has a via motherboard (even a damaged one) ship it out to me and I make a few for you guys, just pay shipping on them stevelangford at usa.net

Here are some of the specs for the board:

The maximum mainboard size is only 170mm x 170mm
Check out my hopefully useful site...

    www.hobbybotics.com

It's still under design but it is functional

what about mounting holes, port penetrations, optional hard drive mounting bracket, if we are going to make this might aswell make it bad ***
