Okay, I have read and read and read on top of that. I believe I have come up with a good plan but I'm still wondering on a few things:
As I have decided that this won't be a gaming carputer (well not as much), I have decided to go with the M10k and C3 chip. Here is the rundown on my list of parts (please comment on if I'm missing anything or doing something wrong here):
Via M10000 Nehemiah C3 1 ghz
512 MB DDR 2100
40 GB 2.5" HDD
slim slot load dvd (Nu?)
Earthlink GPS (this good?) w/ atlas 2005
Opus 90W (should be enough?)
TV/FM Tuner by prolink (all I really want is fm any suggestions?)
Xenarc 7" TS
Alpine 5 channel amp.
Please comment on anything that should be changed.
Placement:
Red square means removed, blue means where the vents are going, green means where the temp control is going.
Any suggestions welcome and needed.

Im just lazy and sit here and keep refreshing. Not often do i go into new posts or today posts.

VIC? Is that the lower jeep monitor? Yes I was planning on just ditching it. It does nothing in my car. It tells me if I'm in 4WD alltime, lo, or neutral.

That is what I meant. It's a "vehicle information center". It doesn't do much in the the version you have. I have one with the same style, I'll watch for pitfals you run into. I'm curious how easy it will be to move the HVAC controls there.
I believe that someone here has already done this. Except where I'm putting the vents he put a HU.

Has anybody had any trouble with OBD-II hook-ups and a aftermarket security system? I have a $1500 Clifford Security system (the "2nd key" can be seen to the bottom left of the picture) that disables my computer, igition, and starter until I disable it.
Any thoughts?
