    Post how fast of comp to run divx

    this seems like a great alternative to dvd...what do I need to run it without it skipping and being jumpy

    As far as I know, a pretty decently high end system. I'm running a celeron 366 and 128SDRAM with an ATI rage fury 128 and I don't get any slowdown. But this isn't necessarily the lowest end system that can run divx.

    I've played divx on a 333Mhz w/64mbsdram and some kind of ati card and it ran fine. I don't know if anything less will play divx or not. good luck

    I tried it on my 233 with 64 megs ram and it gets really skippy

    Tryed it on 200Mhz-MMX with 64Mbs of RAM and it works fine as far as I can tell...
    I used Divx compression for video capturing using my Internet cam.
    Video card is ATI something 64 its an old ISA card with 4 Mbs on board.
    So i guess it does work alright on low end machines. By the way i was running it on NT OS.
