hardware suggestions please...

Hey everybody, I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some motherboard, processor and power supply suggestions. My plans are to build a carputer with the following goals in mind:

1) play all optical formats, dvd-audio being main focus. Will use sb audigy 2 platinum nx (internal card with external connection box), only soundcard I have seen that plays dvd-audio

2) use firewire or usb dvd drive in dash, and second optical drive in pc case/enclosure

3) usb touchscreen monitor, ATI remote wonder (works great on home pc)

4) pc will interface with 5.1 car audio system. will use external head unit and cd changer going into the soundcard's aux input for ease of use, that sort of thing.

The computer is going to be real power hog and my main concern is processing power and power supply reqirements. Would the opus do it(hopefully)? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Wait a sec...what's so special about dvd audio? Why can't any card play it just like a CD?

It will be a power hog, but not CPU wise (probably not as much as you'd think). Not for what you mentioned. I have a computer with a 266 PII that can do that all and more. Smoothly. I know I say that a lot but I see 3+ Ghz systems going to waste in a car.
