One option is to get ahold of a Icom PCR-100.
It's a pc controlled scanner, it covers everything from 0.2Khz to 1.3Ghz, AM/FM/WFM etc.
The only downside is that I haven't found the specifications for the serialcommands yet, but there is atleast two programs that are written by none-icom people. The first is TalkPCR and the second is java-radio (I lost the URL).
I will try to install this in my upcoming carpc and are planning to write a driver program for linux.
It should be nice if I complete it, FM radio, POLICE, Analouge phones etc all in the same box![]()
Except the FM demodulator doesn't do stereo.Originally Posted by Tomas-
Actually I think it does... but have to check to make sure.
I have a PCR-100 lying around so I will add it to my setup anyway, nice to listen to the cops![]()
Just found the commandset for the PCR-1000, it's the same for PCR-100
