    Post Questions about my Plans

Here is the system I plan on making:
    MicroStar MS-6215 Book PC
    w/ 128mb ram
    Celeron 700
    Raite 8x DVD -$385
Western Digital 10GB Hard drive -$79
*Garmin 12x GPS Receiver -$0 (already have)
Mobile Authority 5.6” LCD with housing and remote -$255
PC Interface Cable w/ Cig. Lite adapter for GPS -$35
    *Microsoft Streets and Trips -$50
    *Auto Shutdown Unit -$25
    StarPower 140wt AC/DC Inverter -$39.99
    IRman -$35
    BTC 5100c 80key mini keyboard -$20.00
    *Blitzsafe Aux. in adapter -$50

If anyone sees any problems or price corrections please help me out. Also:
*Is Streets and Trips the best for my setup? I want a very precise map (has a lot of little roads not just main ones.)
*Anyone have any comments on using a Garmin handheld for tracking? Is it pretty quick locking?
*Will the auto shutdown unit work with the BookPC mobo?
*Has anyone hacked the Toyota/Lexus stereos ('98-'01) to get aux in?
    Thanx and sorry so long.

PS. Gonna run WinME not sure DVD software and Winamp. do I need decoder card and what software is reccomended?

Check Pricewatch for prices on hard drives. They have a 20gig on there starting at $65. A Western Digital is only $67. That means twice the space for a lesser price!

Oh, it looks like it is only 22 bucks, and shipping is only 9 bucks. So 31 bucks for a 140 watt inverter for you car.

    35 + 9 = 44 bucks for the 300 watt version..
