Post First mp3car player. Help needed

Hey people just wanted your opinion on a few things. In about 1 week i will be going to my local pc swap meet and will start getting most of my parts for my mp3car player.
First question is because i am a lazy **** i am going to use a normal pc case in my car for now. Should i use a desktop case or a mintower. What are there disadvantages and advantages.

Question 2 Which way should i mount the hard disk in my pc horizontal or vertical. Also should i like put some cushion stuff around the hardisk or something to stop it from getting shaken all over the place in my car.

Question 3 I know everyone says onboard sound sux should i look for a motherboard with onboard sound or should i just stick on a spare soundcard i got lying around home.

Question 4 Should i ground the pc case to the body of the car. I am going to be using a inverter too can anything go wrong like interference electricution etc.

Question 5 What are the most common problems to happen to a car mp3 player like hd failing parts, ratling to bits etc.

Final question Does anyone in australia know were you can buy good small like lcd screens from.

Thats about all the questions i can think about for now. Sorry about all the speling mistakes (i was in a hurry) and the qestions lol.

    1) use whatever fits where you want it to go

    2) protecting the hard disk is not going to do anything...just put it in there like any other computer

    3) onboard sound is fine for 99.99% of us.

    4) you should ground the case anyway...its good practice and it cant hurt anything.

    5) theres really no 'most common' problem. ive had problems ranging from playlists not loading, power supply failure, grounding probs etc...anything is game here

    6) i'd avoid lcd screens until your 2nd or 3rd generation carputer (trust me...within a month you'll want to redo it)

For LCD screens in australia, try rockby.com.au The website often doesnt contain all of their stock, so I suggest giving them a ring, the phone number is on their website. Oh, and btw, rockby is based in Clayton, Vic.
