    Post HD power cables...?

    I have a problem, Im setting up my system and I think that I know that all of the cables that go to a harddiska re but I wanted to check with you guys before I nuked my disk.

    There are two red (+5)? connections, one black (gnd) and one yellow (?) what the hell is the yellow cable!? Its driving me nuts...

    I opened up an standerd powersupply to check on the pc board, but there was a nice large heatsick sitting over the text on the board.

    Please help!

    A HD power connector has 1 5V wire, 1 12V wire and 2 ground wires.

    It does not have 2 5V wires. If you connect 2 5V wires wou will have a short circuit.
