    Help, My installation Problem

So I got everything installed and it worked great, for a day or so.

Over the course of my setup the hard drive cable had be loose and pron to unplugging at will.

After about a day that happened. I was busy with work so I did not have a chance to take everything apart and tighten down that cable and after a while the machine wasn't even trying to boot, (I have carnetix, should boot when I start my car even with no hard drive attached.)

Today I had a chance to work on the thing and I discovered that not only had the hard drive cable came unplugged but the fuse was burnt out too. I replaced the fuse and tightened down the hard drive cable and therortically everything should work however my lilliput (with coyote auto-on) is acting like it is not getting a signal.

When I start the car the screen flashes "No Signal" for a while and then shuts off. I hauled my desktop monitor outside to see if my machine was still working and windows boots and it displays on the desktop monitor.

Any Ideas. Thanks for the help. Jason

I would make sure that all of the ribbon cables and cables were seated corerctly, think back of what things you moved around or altered

When I was reading this post the first thing that poped to my mind was ribbon cables too. When I was removing my buttons on my lilliput if that ribbon cable was slightly off the power would act really funny(This was after the auto on mod also) I know on my lilli the cable connecting to the screen side fits perfect, but the part of the ribbon that sits on the button side has a bit of play in it and needs to be pushed all the way to one side. Try wiggling the ribbon cable and see if the power shoots off and on.

One more thing to look at is the VGA cable where the two ends connect together this is easier to look at first since it does not involve rippin the lilli apart. I'm talking about the connector in the middle of the cable not the end that plugs into the computer. Make sure none of the prongs are bent and that they are all going into there proper holes. I had that problem, just got a small screw drive and pushed the prong back into its normal position and all was good in da hood!
