Don't let them tell you it's not possible! Anything is possible, heh...no, but seriously - I was told I couldn't hack my acura stereo, but guess what?
I didn't hack a Toyota or Lexus stereo. I did hack a Vauxhall one though (CAR300). Just identified the amplifier line inputs, break the lines, insert a relay which switches over to aux in, and control the relay from your mp3 box on a printer port line (buffered of course) - that way it auto switches over.
I also hacked my stereo to have a power out signal so that when it switches on, it switches my mp3 box on too. Means I don't need a separate power switch.
