i want to build a slot that which i can slide a enclosure for a 160gb 3.5" hd, i have the casing for a 5.25" from an old cdrom i gutted, i want to be able to slide the enclosure in and it will align with the power and usb, the extra space in the case will be filled with foam to keep the enclosure snug, good idea?? has anyone done this? pics?
also can i use the computers power supply and adapt one of the plugs to the little power plug it uses, sorry i don't know much about how electricity works, i'm working on learning more but can anyone help?
one of the microatx cases i plan to get has 2 hidden 5.25" slots, and if i can get this to work it would be awesome, if its possible

You might want to consider modifying a removable hard drive bay.
Based on your description, I think that would be along the lines of what you're wanting. These can be found almost everywhere. I'd start with Ebay or if you're that anxious, A local comp store.
