Biostar M7NCG400 no go. What other options?

Hey,
I read around the boards here that the Biostar M7NCG400 does not work with the opus unless it is modified. Does this mean that any other mobo would not work with the modified opus? Anyone know exactly what the problem is? I was literally about to click the order button at newegg when I decided to check here to see if anyone had probs with this mobo.

Also, has anyone found another uATX board that has adjustable vcore, memory voltage/speed?

I have the same board, but found out about the opus well after I had the thing. I believe the problem was something to do with a resistor on the motherboard that detects the turn on signal(on/off switch)

This one Asus A7N8X-VM seems to be pretty popular as well

Yes, I would be interested in knowing why people think that this MB won't work with the Opus. I have a Biostar MB (out in the care so I'm not checking the model number) and it took me many phone calls with Opus but I got it to work.

Ok, I just went outside becuase I had a new round IDE cable I wanted to install anyways. Guess what motherboard is running perfectly with my Opus right now? Yep, it is Biostar M7NCG400!

I got that info from the 4 or so threads I found when I searched for that board. Here is one. But just to be sure I sent an e-mail to opus an hour or so ago to find out for sure. Hopefully they will get back with me by tomorrow. Sounds like you got yours to work out so that is a glimmer of hope =).

*edit* Brady did it only take bios changes to get your mobo to work?

Yes
Before you order it just tell them what motherboard you will be using it for.

I know the opus has to be modified, but i was under the impression that it had to be sent to me, then i had to rma it in order to get the change.

If i could just get the thing set for that mobo, i may get the opus sooner

Let me know what opus says
