Thread: Another Source for Futaba VFD?

I just had a power supply spike and it deliver a full 12v to my VFD. It did blow the fuse, but doesn't seem to function correctly (on power up, line one displays garbage and nothing else -after the fuse was jumped-)
The supplier no longer has them (resources unlimited) and my housing is built around this display so if I can't fix it or find another display I am kind of hosed
Anyone have any extra, or know of another source??? or have an idea of where to look for the failure? I know if it's one of the min IC's I'm hosed but if it may have blown a small part inline I might be able to replace since the display seems ok. Been a long while since I troubleshooted something like this and just wanted to see if anyone had a starting point.
