    id be interested for portable athletic use for an mp3......the hard drive ones
    arent really suitable for rough use

    Sorry to poo-poo, but I've got 25GB of music, and another 80+ of video.

    And the libraries are ALWAYS growing, which is why I sprung for the 250GB & FireWire enclosure.

    8 wont even support my mp3's cant wait to install my 200GB in my car. its almost pack only needs 6GB more and i will be there.

    remember 8gigabit is only 1gigabyte which is still pretty impressive. This will most likely be used on cell phones to begin with.

    That would be sweet to run the system off of and have a seperate drive for MP3s. 16GB is no where near enough for music or videos

    Yeah 16GB is just way to small for music and movies. But is good for the os and applications. Faster boot up times is what its best for. Even though it will be available in Q? 2005, its going to be expensive as hell!!! Therefore you will have to wait about 6months for the prices to drop.

    That's per chip, one device uses multiple chips.
