    Thats way different than the cf cards that are up to 5GB right now, which are Micro-Drives. They are limited to the number of writes .
    These seem to be true flash memory... a definate jump in technology..

    The price will probably be stoooooopid high !!!!!

    Maybe, but if they can price it low enough in order to take the entire hard drive market share... That probably makes a lot of sense.

    You misread that article. 2TB is the maximum space the media hardware can SUPPORT. It is NOT the current size. Just like the maximum hardware support for memory sticks is 2TB.

    flash media is limited to the number of read/writes too (didn't know MD's were limited), but this announcement says the format will support UP to 2 terrabytes, meaning it isn't out yet, and probably won't be for a while.
