Suddenly no voltage is supplied to system, help?

Well, my car computer has been going strong for over a year now. All of a sudden one morning I start up the car then turn on the inverter and nothing happens. The inverter actually turns on, beeps once (low voltage alert) but still stays on. Even though the inverter is on it is not supplying any power to my computer. Some might think that is a low voltage thing but when the voltage is too low the beeping sound continues until you shut the inverter off and recharge the battery. However, it only beeps once right when it turns on. I thought it was a problem with the inverter so I switched it with a new one and the same thing happens. So, it's not the inverter's problem. I really have no clue why this is happening. So, I come to you powerful and all-knowing people to figure out what happened to my system that morning. Anyone have any idea?

    Thanks

It's not anything to do with the computer. I am not getting any power to my screen either or anything else I have hooked up. It has to be something to do with the power system.

Checked the fuse, still good. Besides, the inverter wouldn't be getting power if the fuse was broke.

The screen will probably not light up unless it gets a signal. If there is no power going to the PC it will not startup. Your inverter is probably shot. How can it be "ON" and not providing power? My guess is that only the fan turns on. Inverters are very unreliable.

Maybe you have 2 bad inverters. Buy another.

Well, I figured out that the problem is that there are too many amps being put through the line from the battery to the inverter. So, the inverter goes into protection mode. I'm just wondering why it has worked fine for over a year and just suddenly had this problem. I still don't know what is causing it so I'm still trying to figure that out. At least I have the problem isolated now (I think). Anyone have any idea why it's drawing too many amps?

    Thanks

You've isolated it from the inverter. I would check all you other connections. Is your fuse going to the inverter clean, and tight? Is your ground still well made? If you have it going through a relay, is the relay still good? If the relay is going on you, I could see the inverter going into protection mode, because of the voltage drop. Other than that, I would think you may have to run new wires.
