Media Skiping... HDD, IRQ, CPU... ?!?!

    Sup guys..

Ever since i built my carputer i noticed that music and videos skip... for a split second and then theycontinue(hell even windows pauses )...
For the longest time i thought this was my inverter's fault... a friend explained something about inverters not always running at the same hz(60hz insted of 50z i believe) as household electricity...
Anyway i plug the carputer in my house today and noticed that the skipping continues...

So now i ask all of you experts out there.....
Could this be my harddrive ******* up?
OR maybe some IRQ conflict?.. if those even still exist
What could be causing this momentary pause in windows?!?!

    THank you in advanced,
    eric

I've used a USB netgear WG121 and it doesn't skip when when looking for a network, and my dlink DWL-520 (PCI) skipped all the time
