    Post Soundcard straight into amps

Would I encounter any problems if I built a small box that had 2 RCA's in on one side and 6 RCA's out of the other side, to connect the SoundBlaster PCI 128 to 2 amps (4 channel for main speakers and a 2 channel for the subs)?????

Granted i'd need to keep the sound down on the pc so as not to blow them - but anyone have any advice?

Please reply soon as the FM modulator i'm using at the moment is doing my head in with the crackling and interferance!!!!
    Best regards,

I don't know about the details of your situation, but I have the soundout (1/8" miniplug) from my computer connected directly to the RCA inputs on my amp. Works great.

I had the same situation. I purchased a Turtle Beach - Santa Cruz sound card. It has 6 channels. I run a Sony 75 x 4 and an MTX 200x2 sub amp. The Santa Cruz allows me to adjust the volume for the subs seperately. I can fade left/right/front/back. This sound card gives me more options than any car stereo. I put a system in my Suburban. Took out the air conditioning and stereo and added a 12" flat sreen in the dash. Moved the air and 4x4 controls into a custom center console. I do not have a stereo. I added a Hauppage TV card with FM and it kicks ***. I have 2500 MP3's recorded in min 128 kbs. From the sound card I ran 1/8" stereo into split RCA's into each amp. The Sont runs 2 sets of Boston Acoustic seperates up front, 2 coaxials in rear doors, and 2 6x9's in boxes in the rear. The sub pushes 2 10" JL audio's. The card puts out min 2 volts which is plenty. It is the best car system I have ever owned.

I did not answer your question about the 2 into 6 but hopefully you will take a look at the Santa Cruz. I do not remember what I paid for it but it was lots less than the sound blaster.

    Good Luck

That is one sweet install. Looks great! I would love to able to fit a 12" LCD in my dash... Guess I'm buying a Suburban next

I would like to see some more information on that install, since I have a Chevy truck with the same dash as that suburban, and I am putting a 10.4" touchscreen in. I like the way yours looks, so I want details!
