Exclamation for those that use CF card.. 5GB card in Rio Carbon

For those that use Compact Flash cards for either an embedded system, or just for storage.. there's a 5GB card in the Rio Carbon MP3 player.
There getting scarce, but one can be had for $220 and then you take it apart and get the 5GB card ( $500 value ).
Something similar was done for the previous model that was 2GB, and people would turn around and sell the empty player on EvilBay. Well, this time, you destroy the case getting to the drive.

They work in Pocket PC's and Cameras too.

    here's a write up ...

That's awesome for use in cameras and such that take CF cards, but why would you use this in a carputer? Unless you're *really* hard up for space/power, a laptop drive isn't much larger, gives you alot more storage for a lot less money, and is faster to boot. Am I missing something?

Not worth the money at all. Check eBay for the 4GB microdrive or 5GB card. They prices are less than the players.
