    usb male to female stub plug

    is there any short male to female plugs that aren't cables? i'm looking for a type a female to type a male usb plug. it's like this without the extension cable

    You would probably have to use a Male/Male and Female/Female back to back. I doubt anyone's going to make the equivalent of a 1" usb cable. The other option you have is to simply build one. You can get the USB ends from digikey or mouser, solder them together, then embed them in some resin...

    They do have very short 4" or so usb cables, though. I have gotten a couple of them with little usb fob devices before.

    What you should look at is something called FlexUSB. I have one and it is about 2 inches long.
