    Don't EPIA boards support CE

    Egalax have TS drivers...

Tom Tom is easy on CE too...

Get an 800x480 driver sorted out by the clever soles on here

Run from the Lilli cause I've just spent two week moulding and butchering my car and 180 lilli

PPC solution is great for those with PPC already, I don't like probably 60% of member... And more to the point have just built a 450 CarPC.

It would be very nice though if we could use CE on our Mini-ITX's, something that wasn't designed to be used with a 17" monitor like XP.

WiFi sync'ing would be straight forwards too as their is plenty of apps to sync PPC to PC.

I have an SPV E200 Smartphone from last year which drove me mad for being slow and unresponsive, I tend to feel that a PPC will feel the same when pushed to carry out all the common CarPC apps/functions.
Would it not be great to try get WinCE running on x86 and get a nice slick Flash front end done for 7" 800x480 aspect ratio.

    I'm rambling now

    Updated eglax page

    Looks like they have drivers

This would be a great idea, the only thing stopping me is software. Same reason Im not using Windows Embedded. If there was frontend software Id definitely consider it

I think many software would run there. Some tweaks would be needed, not too much though. For .Net apps it will be no change

I think the egalax drivers are intended for x86 platforms running CE rather than PPC which seem to be ARM platfoms. I think this also applies to software too.

Looking at the page, the three drivers for WinCE.net are intended multiple platforms, and all three include ARM support, as well as x86.

AFAIK, there are no iPaq models that support a USB/VGA breakout.

Certian Toshibas and the Fujitsu Loox 720 (and maybe 520) are the only ones I can think of that support both USB host and VGA breakouts.

The Dell Axim x50v and x51v have VGA out, but not USB out.

Well on the Dells you can get a CF USB host card. And there you go!

    Peace,

And you have a PDA that costs as much as a Loox 720, and the inability to use a microdrive.
