    XM411 is run by XM, for the most part (the important parts), so no doubt it will get killed if XM doesnt like it. But it does mean its 100% doable

    Someone should just buy one and then sniff the protocol so we can make our own cheaper!

    I'm talking about the XM Direct, not the USB adaptor (which might as well be vaporware anyhow as far as anyone's concerned). Chances are (if it is working), his $109 solution is a $10 solution at Fry's, and I predict $109 will quickly deflate to about $20 once someone gets a chance to pop the little sucker open.

    Where do you mount your antenna? I live in the same city as you and get perfect signal from both satellite 85% of the time and the terrestial repeater 100% of the time.
