the way you made it sound was that its just a cable with wires. so is there a major dsub hood at one end that contains a small circuit?

Ryan, he means that we reverse engineered the protocol. Our software is doing the processing. It is not as simple as plug and play. I am even thinking of writing a software similar to the XMPCR packaged software that allows you to control the direct, instead of having people use MMC. Or maybe both...

Anyways... just trying to clear up your question

Yes. They are the same exact hardware. The Direct does not have external power or the FM modulator though. Other then that the board is pretty much a carbon copy.

    Thanks

Actually you can find the direct for around 45 at some places. Our kit is 45.00. So yes, for around 90 - 100 you can have XM Radio on your PC again. I will be working with any of the developers that are interested in integrating this into there software. Frodo most likely being the first.

    Thanks

There doesn't appear to be a large Meedio Community here, but I would love to see it as a Meedio Plugin. I think there are others as well. (Psst, some are even willing to pay for software. )

    Meedio XMPCR

Still trying to get more cross-over between Meedio.com-MP3Car.com
