If it does, great.
I'm planning on mounting my xbox in the trunk, but I wanted to extend all the cable's for the DVD drive and mount it in my glove box. How long is too long? If I extend them 10-15' I'm thinking I might get signal loss. Anyone done this before?

In one of the many other threads on this someone mentioned a guy managing 15' using twisted pair cabling and that you could find it on the web. I'm googally impaired and have so far totally failed to find that. Does anyone know where I can read up on that?
how long can we make a sata cable?
IDE was only designed to be no further than 3ft from the system board. (Of course as we've seen it can be extended further). When thinking about how to 'extend' the length of my harddrive cable. I don't ever consider extending an IDE cable, i'd use another solution all togeather. USB or FireWire we're designed to travel across longer distances.

I wouldn't recomend it for a hard disk
I do agree with you on the firewire part but not the USB... if you extend it people please use firewire learn from my mistakes
