Right, they don't need jumpers. You need to hook up power to your board, be really careful, and short those 2 pins just for a split second, then remove the jumper. Don't even put the jumper on all the way.

Forget the three pins below, they have no meaning right now.

    or bottom to top?

edit: and row one is the row farthest from the ram slots, right?

Well, with only 6 pins, either way you count will still be pins 3 and 4.

Remember you are jumpering pins in the same row, do not touch the other row of 6 pins.

Okay. Here's the deal. First off, I don't have AIM. Sorry man.

Next, essentialy what were trying to accomplish here is to imitate a power button press. You need to have power to your motherboard, have the power switch on on your power supply, and also have your video plugged into your motherboard, possibly a keyboard. Now, what's going to happen is as soon as you put that jumper on those two pins, the motherboard should start up. You want to remove that jumper as soon as you put it on there. You are taking place of a momentary switch that would normally be plugged into those pins. Make sense?

roger that alpha one. i shorted them and the mobo booted up.

But when i tried turning power off and turning back on again, the mobo wouldent boot without doing the 3-4 thing. how do i set it to turn on without the 3-4 thing?

edit: ahhh, wait, i might have it. now when i plug my opus back into this, i plug in to the 3-4 pins with the opus correct?
