    inverter or dc-dc?????

    so what r the advantages and disadvantages of the 2 methods , I prefer dc-dc cos I donīt want to spend more money and space in the car , but does the dc 12volts direct to the mb donīt affect it when the car crash or when the volt of the car changes? like when you link your car batery with another batery
    or when you want to put a cdrom dvd etc ? Thank you

    DC-DC are more efficient and have less noise than invertor. Check this discussion on:

    My DC-DC PS can handles 8-15V input, so even if the voltage drop a bit, the power to the computer would still be uninterrupted.
