    For those with backup cameras.

I wanted to start a poll but there isn't the ability on this board... I want to know how many people actually have backup cams, which one they have, where they installed it, how much they paid for it, and any pictures / screenshots they can post.

I want to get one for my truck and was looking at the BC-150R on digitalww.com but it's a tad expensive ($140) and it's also a keyhole cam. Since I don't have a trunk (I have a truck) where would something like this be installed on my truck??

Are they any cheaper alternatives similar to this cam?

    Thanks!!

I just bought one of of eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...725819206&rd=1

I plan to run it directly to the Lilliput and just push the "avi" button on the screen.
I haven't installed yet, so I can say no more.

Unless im mistaken, your truck has two lights for the liscence plate. Only one is really needed, you could put the camera in the other one. Or, you could mount it where the tailgate handle is.

I just bought a logitech quickcam and glassed it into my trunk on the outside. Waterproofed it of course. I'll try to get some pics, and I do have a screen shot... Let me find it.

    Here we are:

This was before I mounted my camera.

It's all grainy and crappy cause it's dark in my house, but it looks good outside.

Can't go wrong for $15 right? Bought it, then added support to my front end for it. Turned out pretty sweet.

If you are thinking about it as a rearview, you might want something with wider viewing angle.

As for the mounting, I have seen a installation behind the license plate. I guess he grilled a hole in license plate. I thought that was a good idea and considering modifing my setup.

Right now I have this one. Mounted inside trunk door. (which is not the best location, I can't see out in cold morning )

Viewing angle on this camera seems OK to me. When I back up to a car to about 6" or so, I can see whole car and more.

I will take a picture and post it later today.
