Does anyone have a true 5.1 surround sound system? If so, what components were used to get this? I want it in my truck and I am looking for ideas on how to do this. Thanks for your help!![]()

I was looking into buying the Panasonic CY-AC300 before I asked. How does it work for you? Since that makes everything sound like it is in 5.1, will I need a 5.1 sound card for my computer install? Thanks for your help.
Look at the Alpine PXA-H700. If you really want a good 5.1 system it is the way to go. Unless you can pony of $3500 for the H900![]()

Dont listen to these guys. Although the alpine will work it is a bit pricey. You don't need any sound card just use the S/PDIF out port on the EPIA's Mob. Other micro atx boards have this port too

The PXA-H700 is cheaper than the Panasonic. It also has more Eq/Crossover/Time delay functions.

You guys are awesome! Thanks for your help. I am thinking of cutting the top of my dash in the center of the windshield and putting in a component set there for the center channel. What do you think?
Sounds good, good height for it too! just one speker is needeed, doesnt need to be a componet set, i.e mid & Tweeter, remeber centre speaker is only for vocals.Originally Posted by berdine3
