    Onstar DVD Lockout Question

Hi, I'm just curious if anyone has made an effort to disable the DVD lockout on most vehicles (Such as my father's Caddy CTS) that occurs when shifting from Park to Drive.

I understand the safety feature, but the whole family would enjoy watching DVD's on our longer road trips, and the in-car sound is impressive.

Before you ask, they are not the types who will do major surgery to their cars, so a carputer, etc is out of the question in this case.

I have no idea how you would do this (software/firmware, cut an input wire, etc), but I figure there is a chance that at least a few here have tried.
