The horn, however... I can't picture a situation where you'd need the horn to be computer activated.
automate the functions?... you must be joking

how many people cant find enough time while driving to hold the window button down for what?.. 3 seconds?

perhaps if you wired the ac controls to turn on when it rises above a certain temp but really

besides do you really care what other people do with there money/vehicals?

The thought has crossed my mind, but I think I would be much easier to just use my switchbox.

I have though about linking them to my alarm, having it panic when the alarm is triggered. But it really moves around a lot and it would probably smash someones foot or smash into the car next to me. I would probably get jack-holes setting off my alarm to see it dance.

You're right... What other people do with their money/ vehicles is their own concern. (I'm putting a pc in a Citroen AX, so I should know... )

    Just sounds a bit daft...

Is there anybody out there that knows if there is a production car on the market that has some kind of computer attached to the horn system???

Here's a use for wiring the horn to the computer..

Everytime, you swear in your car the horn beeps.. so if someone cuts you off "F**K You A**H**E!" the computer gets the voice recognition and honks the horn...

Progress [I will seriously never be done!]

Bad idea in my case, since the string of curses I usually utter would have the horn laid on solid for a good minute and a half!

As for being able to change the way the horn sounds, which is what it sounds like you're trying to do, you would have to get one of those programmable digital horns (think Dukes of Hazzard horn) and interface with THAT to create your own sound(s). Other than that, there's really no way to change the sound of most stock automotive horns. Apply more voltage and they get a little louder, and a lot more dead. Apply less, and they don't drop a note, they just get weaker-sounding.
Unless you wanted to mount an air-driven foghorn to your car, now THAT would rock! (and break a few windows around you when you hit it)

you write a code to play your horn like a mono-tone ringtone. Think the latest britney spears song blasting at you from the car next to you. please dont follow up on that project.
