I'm installing a car PC into my 2002 Dodge Ram 3/4 tonne. I started making a custom center console cover which will house my large LCD and replace the cup holders. The PC itself will be mounted under the front seat.
I'm going to be putting in 4-5 cameras but I'm not sure what the best way to do this is.
I pull a 3 horse trailer so I want to put 3 cameras in the trailer and one on the rear of the trailer. Then a hitch mount camera on the truck.
What's the best way to go about doing this? Should I just go with a USB hub and 3 webcams then get 2 wide angle hitch cameras? Or is there a cheap camera controller that would work better?
Also, those who are using hitch cameras, do they stay clean? What about in winter time?
Also, I rememeber seeing a company that made weather proof USB cables/connectors, does anyone remember who? If not I might just make custom covers.
