Can anybody confirm that the Epia M9000 looks for a ground on the power on jumper pin to start up?

Reason Im asking - I was looking thru my alarm/remote start install manual, and there is a wire that gets a 1 second negative pulse after it senses the car has started with remote. This would be great to have my carputer automatically turn on with the remote start.

So If my question is correct, I can use a standard 12V relay hook the wire from the alarm up to #86, 12V+ to #85, ground to #30 and #87 going to the jumper pin.

Will this work?
