Guys, trust us, the fact that it uses an RJ-11 plug means NOTHING and trying to use to the modem is just plain not going to work.

    Yes, I know for sure.

    1. I am a programmer.
    2. I make electronic circuits.
    3. I have built modem circuits for my projects from the ground up.
    4. I have reverse engineered devices before.
    5. I know for sure.

I've build a callerid app for LCDC and trillian at the same time using just the Com port.

Interesting, and yes we're sure. A modem isn't going to work.

Now, gimme the skinny for the caller id app for trillian.

So...sounds like its similar to the usb port on the side of a lilliput....definately NOT usb, but yet it is a usb connector. Hard to say what they are transmitting on the rj-11 connector

Download CID plugin here. What this does is put an app in the systemtray that monitors and logs calls by having the modem listening for the callerid strings. Also has a record of calls you missed by counting the number of rings.
